Atlanta author of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ set in Pakistan is coming to speak in Forsyth County

Soniah Kamal, an Atlanta-based author and TEDx presenter, will speak about her recently released book – Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan – at Sharon Forks Library on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Soniah Kamal, an Atlanta-based author and TEDx presenter, will speak about her recently released book – Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan – at Sharon Forks Library on Saturday, April 27.

Kamal’s novel “is a charming update on Jane Austen’s beloved novel and an enlivening exploration of class, love and marriage,” according to a press release from Forsyth County Public Library.

Kamal is an award-winning essayist, fiction writer and speaker. Her works have appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Guardian, BuzzFeed and Literary Hub, according to the press release.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase during the event, which will be from 2-3 p.m. at the library’s location at 2820 Old Atlanta Road in Cumming, and Kamal will be available to sign books after her presentation.
