First Baptist Church Cumming will hold its Fall Bazaar on Saturday.
The 20th annual event, organized by members of the Ruth Reed Women on a Mission, raises money for various mission projects.
“Last year we had hundreds of people attend,” said Sandi Abbott, one of the organizers, adding that part of the draw is the variety of festivities.
“We have breakfast, lunch, a bake sale, silent auction, free face painting and about 50 booths of vendors,” she said.
Abbott said among the items for sale will be: handmade scarves, shawls and jewelry; baby and Christmas items; and hair and beauty products.
Silent auction items include jewelry, sports memorabilia and an antique rocking chair and carousel horse.
Admission is free, but patrons are asked to give $1 at the door in support of the Home of the Brave Quilting Ministry.
Last year’s bazaar raised about $6,000.
“We pray that will people will come out and receive a blessing from this event,” Abbott said. “It’s a great place to buy Christmas presents and know that a portion of your money will go to help those in need.”
The event is set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 1597 Sawnee Drive.
