Fall weather is right around the corner, but there’s still time to get out and enjoy the summer warmth and blue skies this year.

And later this month, the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation department will host a free event so local residents can to do just that – close out the summer with the 17th annual Play at the Park Family Fun Festival in south Forsyth’s Fowler Park.

Play at the Park will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring kid’s activities, family entertainment, food trucks, music, animal adoptions, vendors and fitness activities.

“The annual Play at the Park event is a great opportunity for families to spend time together at the park for a day of fun,” Parks and Recreation Director Jim Pryor stated in a press release. “There are exciting activities for everyone to enjoy and we are looking forward to another great turnout.”

Kid’s activities will include inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting and train rides, while the festival’s vendor area will feature 100 booths from local services, programs and products, the release states.

Fowler Park is located at 4110 Carolene Way. More information is available at parks.forsythco.com/PATP.
