LCS Productions Inc. will bring holiday fun to the Cumming Playhouse Thursday and Friday.

The company will present its eighth annual holiday show, “Holidays Americana,” at 8 p.m. both nights.

Director Jeanie Lispscomb said the show will begin with songs and skits celebrating the Thanksgiving season and America.

“The second half is Christmas-themed, and the first half is patriotic music and Thanksgiving related,” she said.

The cast of almost 30 auditioned for roles in the summer, and began rehearsals in late September.

Lipscomb said the stars of the show are several children, including a full children’s choir.

“They steal any show,” she said.

The Christmas act features one skit with the characters Scrooge and Tiny Tim. Other vignettes include a look at Christmas in Ireland and in Dixie.

Lipscomb encouraged anyone looking to kick off the holiday season to check out the show.

“We think we have the best selections and the best people [in the cast],” Lipscomb said.
