GAINESVILLE — The 19th annual Polar Bear Plunge has been rescheduled for noon Feb. 6.

Participants take the plunge into the chilly waters of Lake Lanier individually and in groups.

Originally scheduled for Jan. 1, the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club fundraiser was postponed due to flooding and debris in the lake.

Online registration is open at www.lckc.org for the plunge, which is held at Clarks Bridge Park, 3105 Clarks Bridge Road in Gainesville.

On-site registration and check-in opens at 10:45 a.m. the day of the event.
