FORSYTH COUNTY — The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department’s community yard sale Saturday was canceled due to rain and will not be made up, officials said.

According to Jodi Gardner, a spokeswoman for the county’s government, the department typically holds two yard sales each year. The next one likely will be in the spring. 

The yard sale, part of a community outreach effort, is not a fundraiser for the department, but rather a reason to draw those who may not otherwise visit Central Park.
