The Cumming Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America meets the first Monday of each Monday at Golden Corral restaurant on Market Place Boulevard. Dinner is at 6 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. All Vietnam-era veterans are invited to attend.

CUMMING — The Cumming Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America received an in-depth look at the modernization of local library services during a recent presentation.

Laura Bradley, program manager for the Forsyth County Public Library, informed both frequent and occasional library users in the veterans’ organization about the wide-ranging free services the system offers.

Those range from movies, music and audio books to language learning programs and magazines that are available on several digital-based platforms.

According to Bradley, anyone with a library card can access these services without having to leave their homes.

Hoopla Digital enables patrons to enjoy feature-length movies, audio books and television programs, she said. Flipster provides more than 40 magazines.

Those who would like to learn another language can access Mango, with online software providing help to speak one of the more than 60 choices.

The library system also has the traditional products and services for which it’s known.
