On Dec. 15, Vickery Village in south Forsyth will once again host the largest toy drive benefitting Children’s Heath Care of Atlanta — Lily’s Toy Drive.

Now in its seventh year, Lily’s Toy Drive honors the memory of Lily Anderson, a Forsyth County girl who died of a rare form of cancer in 2012, by collecting thousands of toy donations for sick children at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta this Christmas and in the coming year.

According to a press release from the Live a Yes Foundation, which was created in 2019 to oversee the annual donation campaign, this year’s toy drive is expected to be the biggest ever, featuring an artisan market, holiday activities, performances, and a visit from the big man in red himself.

The event will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Dec. 15, at the Vickery Village Green, 5755 S Vickery Street, in Cumming.

If you are interested in making a donation, event organizers say toys should be brought to the event unwrapped. Stuffed animals, violent toys or toys with glitter can’t be accepted.

Toy drop-off locations have been scattered at businesses throughout the south Forsyth County area for anyone unable to make it to the event.
