The Association County Commissioners of Georgia has tapped Forsyth County Commissioner Patrick Bell to serve on its training committee.
Bell will be part of a team that reviews the association’s leadership development programs and makes recommendations for modifying or improving them.
In a statement, Bell said he was "extremely honored" to have been asked to serve.
"I am proud to have achieved my certification in my first two years in office and am nearly complete with my advanced certification," he said. "[Association] President Melvin Davis recognized the importance I place on education and my position that continuing education is a fundamental requirement to effectively serve the citizens we serve."
Formed in 1914, the association is a nonprofit instrument of Georgia’s county governments.
