Forsyth County Clerk of Superior Court Greg Allen will begin a term as president of the Superior Court Clerks’ Association of Georgia after being elected to the position by peers.

“It is an honor to have been selected to lead the association and I look forward to continuing the streamlining of the offerings and operations of Clerks’ offices,” Allen said. “I was very fortunate to learn the legislative process early on, and it has allowed me the opportunity to work with our state leaders to implement forward-thinking legislation and help guide Clerks of Superior Court in a time of fast change.”

Allen has served as Forsyth County Clerk of Superior Court since 2008 and has participated in various leadership roles within clerk organizations, including serving on the Board of the Georgia Superior Court Clerks Cooperative Authority, as well as the legislative chairman of the Clerks Association for the last eight years.

“The Forsyth County Clerk of Court’s office has embraced technology to improve services while reducing costs. Greg’s leadership is a valuable resource for not only the county but all of Georgia,” said Forsyth County Manager Eric Johnson.

“Having served with Greg on a parks and recreation board many years ago, I saw firsthand his calm, sensible approach in solving problems and undeniable respect when working with others,” said Cindy Jones Mills, Forsyth County Board of Commissioners vice chairwoman and District 4 representative. “It’s clear to see why the Georgia Clerks Association would want him to lead as he possesses such wonderful characteristics that you want to see in the person at the top of your organization.”

The Superior Court Clerks’ Association of Georgia Inc., is a professional organization comprised of elected Superior Court Clerks and associate members. The association’s functions include political advocacy, legal appeals and promoting professionalism in those who serve as Superior Court Clerk.

Allen will serve a two-year term as president of the association.
