Zoning Board of Appeals applicants returned to the Forsyth County Administration Building on Wednesday night, some three weeks after they originally intended to make their requests.

The monthly meeting was called off Aug. 2 after the board received a complaint that the agenda had not been posted in the correct location and sufficient access had not been provided.

Jim Kinsey, zoning board chairman, has said the cases up for consideration had been posted online and published in the Forsyth County News.

However, the complainant took issue with the fact the doors to the planning department, where notice of the meeting was also posted, had been locked for a period of time before the 7 p.m. meeting.

As a precaution, the five-member panel canceled the meeting and rescheduled it for this week.

"We again apologize for the delay of the meeting," Kinsey said Wednesday night. "It was unavoidable."

The board unanimously approved all of the requests it heard, including those from JM Construction Consulting, Outdoor Expressions and Keith Cummings.
