FORSYTH COUNTY — Residents are invited to help create the vision for Forsyth’s long-range future as the county begins to update its comprehensive plan.
The plan serves as a guide for the county’s future growth and development, and plays a key role in rezoning and development decisions. It also establishes community goals and priorities.
Two public hearings and a meeting have been scheduled. The first hearing, set for 5 p.m. Thursday in the county administration building in downtown Cumming, will introduce the purpose, schedule and overall update process.
The hearing is part of the county commission’s regular meeting. A similar session is scheduled for 5 p.m. April 7.
On April 11, a joint meeting of the vision and steering committees is set for 6 to 8 p.m. at the administration building. It will be the first in a series the public can attend as the process continues through the spring and summer.
