Report: Forsyth water quality meets state standards

Forsyth County’s 2016 water quality report is in.

Sent by the county’s water and sewer department, the report will provide information from 2015 about where Forsyth’s water comes from, what is found in the water and how it compares with standards.

According to the release, the county’s water “met all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state drinking water health standards in 2015.”

“We are pleased to present this annual Water Quality Report to our nearly 56,000 customers,” said Tim Perkins, the department’s director, in a news release. “The Water and Sewer Department takes a great deal of pride in providing Forsyth County the highest quality of water and sewer service.”

Reports will be sent out with customer’s water bills and is available online at the department’s website. Printed copies are available at the county administration building and reports can be mailed by request.
