A 20-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon in what authorities described as an accident at a garbage transfer station near the Midway community in southwestern Forsyth County.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was pinned between a front end loader and a truck about 2:30 p.m., said Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers.

Shivers said the man, a customer at the station, was in critical and unstable condition when he was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment of injuries to his pelvis, torso and upper body.
