Vehicle struck tree in north Forsyth

Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle wreck that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man early Saturday morning in north Forsyth.

The wreck occurred about 5 a.m. on John Burrus Road, just south of Hwy. 369.

According to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Cpl. David Garrison, Matthew Vincent Bossa of Carriage Court died after the 2003 Mercedes S500 he was driving left the road in a curve and struck a large tree.

Garrison said Bossa, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed instantly.
