The search for a 28-year-old man ended Wednesday morning when his pickup truck was found at an industrial park in south Forsyth.

The body of Yevgeniy Semenikhin of Windhaven Drive was inside his truck at the bottom of an embankment off Curie Road.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Capt. Frank Huggins said an employee of one of the businesses in the park called authorities after spotting the truck.

"It appears the cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the chest," said Huggins, who added that the wound appeared to be self-inflicted.

He said authorities do not suspect foul play.

It is not clear if Semenikhin, who was reported missing Sunday, drove the truck down the hill or if it slid down.

Semenikhin had left home a day earlier without his wallet or cell phone.

According to a missing person notice, authorities thought he had a 12-gauge shotgun but had not made any threats against himself or anyone else.
