Northside Hospital Forsyth offers free skin cancer screening

This week, Northside Hospital Forsyth will offer Forsyth County residents free skin cancer screenings.

According to a news release by Northside Hospital Forsyth, the screening will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Northside Hospital Forsyth Cancer Institute, 1100 Northside Forsyth Drive in Cumming.

The release stated that according to the National Cancer Institute, more than 2,000 cases of melanoma, a dangerous type of skin cancer, will be diagnosed in Georgia this year.

The private screening, offered at no cost, will be conducted by medical professionals, with qualified Spanish interpreters available upon request. The release recommends that attendees wear shorts and T-shirt to the screening.
