Emergency crews closed Ga. 400 for about an hour early Friday after a box truck overturned about a mile north of McFarland Parkway in south Forsyth.
No one was injured in the crash, which is under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
The truck, which authorities said was carrying a load of retail goods to the outlet mall in nearby Dawson County overturned about 3:30 a.m. The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
Because both lanes were soaked with oil from the truck's engine, crews kept the corridor closed during the cleanup.
While Ga. 400 reopened to traffic at about 4:45 a.m., intermittent lane closures are possible throughout the day while workers unload the truck and the scene is cleared.
