Paglia named editor of FCN
Brian Paglia

Former Forsyth County Sports Editor Brian Paglia has been selected as the new editor of the Forsyth County News.

Paglia, who has served as sports editor since 2013, previously worked as a sportswriter and page designer at Clayton News Daily and the Henry Daily Herald and as a sportswriter at Southern Maryland Newspapers.

“I’m equal parts humbled and excited about this opportunity — humbled by the responsibility and the trust put in me, but excited to get to know this fantastic community even more and to work with a first-rate team to continue to give Forsyth County the caliber of local news source it deserves,” Paglia said.

Under Paglia’s leadership, the FCN sports section has been named the best in its category three times by the Georgia Sports Writers Association. Paglia was a driving force behind the creation of Forsyth Sports Media Day, press conferences held before football and basketball seasons featuring interviews with coaches and players. He also hosts FCn60 and Youth Sports Spotlight.

“We are excited to have Brian move into the position as editor of the Forsyth County News,” said Forsyth County News Publisher Stephanie Woody. “During his time as sports editor at the Forsyth County News, he has taken the sports department to new heights. I fully believe he will do the same leading the news team.”

Paglia is a 2007 graduate of Elon University, where he earned degrees in journalism and political science. He serves as a youth leader at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church in Marietta.

Paglia currently lives in Roswell with his wife, Claire, and sons Luke, 6, and Nathan, 2.

He replaces former editor Frank Reddy.
