Relay for Life Forsyth County and the American Cancer Society are asking all Forsyth County Faith-based communities to join together Feb. 3, by hosting a “Faith and Hope Sunday” in your place of worship as part of the 2019 Relay for Life Forsyth County initiative “Banding Together for a Cure.”

Faith and Hope Sunday gives your community the opportunity to celebrate the lives of people in your congregation who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, show support to families, caregivers and fight back against the disease. An important part of Relay is the opportunity to remember those touched by cancer.

Relay for Life Forsyth County would also like the opportunity to honor your survivors and caregivers meet with members of your community to inform you about the many ways The American Cancer Society and Relay for Life can support members who have been touched by cancer.

Finally we would like to offer our support and encourage your congregation form a team and be a part of Relay for Life Forsyth County celebration on April 26, when Forsyth County will “Band Together for a Cure” at the Cumming Fairgrounds to honor, remember and support those in Forsyth County who have also been touched by cancer.

For information on how to host a Faith and Hope Sunday, contact Rena Pendley at rena.pendley@cancer.org or (770) 297-1220.
