Renovated RaceTrac on Hwy. 20 opening on Thursday
RaceTrac

After closing earlier this year for renovation, a popular RaceTrac store will reopen on Thursday.

RaceTrac confirmed that the store at the intersection of Buford Highway and Market Place Boulevard will reopen this week with expanded offerings.

Officials said the new store will offer a frozen dessert station with up to 10 flavors and 41 toppings and a large coffee area. The store will also offer free Wi-Fi and will have “a more shoppable layout.”

There are more than 95 locations across the state, and the stores appear to be growing in popularity in Forsyth County.

Last week, Forsyth County Commissioners rezoned land for a new RaceTrac at the intersection of Canton Highway and Post Road. The new store is planned to have 89 parking spaces and be open 24 hours a day.

Commissioners approved rezoning a new store at 1385 McFarland Parkway, the site of a former BP station, in May and approved plans for stores at Hammond’s Crossing and McGinnis Ferry in February.
