Forsyth County Parks and Recreation officials are hosting a first-of-its-kind event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of a local amenity.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, the inaugural Spring Fling event will be held at the Sawnee Mountain Visitors Center to commemorate a decade of the facility with games, crafts and workshops for all ages.
“We are very excited for our first Spring Fling event that will have something for everyone,” stated Parks and Recreation Director Jim Pryor in a news release. “There is a growing assortment of activities available at Sawnee Mountain Preserve, and this event gives visitors a chance to experience them.”
At noon, visitors 8 years old and older can use the climbing tower, zip line and tree climbing for $15 per person.
Sawnee Mountain Preserve visitor center is at 4075 Spot Road.
