Drivers on Ga. 400 experienced delays due to two unrelated wrecks Thursday morning.

Lt. Jody Chapman of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said the first incident happened about 6:15 a.m. at Ga. 400 near Martin Road.

The second happened about 9:30 a.m. on Ga. 400 southbound at Hwy. 20.

Chapman said both involved multiple vehicles.

“Both were handled quickly, and had just moderate, non-life threatening injuries,” Chapman said. “But obviously any time you shut down 400, it’s a mess.”

Southbound lanes were shut down for about 45 minutes as a result of the Martin Road collision and for about 30 minutes at Hwy. 20, Chapman said.

He noted the Georgia Department of Transportation’s HERO Unit assisted with the Hwy. 20 incident.
