Norman’s Landing has scheduled its annual fall ping pong tournament, which benefits the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

The table tennis fundraiser begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 and 14.

“It’s going to be good,” said restaurant owner Bill Norman. “We hope we can get a lot of people in here and have some good games.”

Norman said he and organizers have made phone calls to players from previous tournaments, many of whom may be coming back.

Men’s and women’s singles is scheduled for Oct. 13, while doubles tournaments will be held the next day. All events are single elimination and the entry fee is $15.

This will be the 27th tournament. Norman’s Landing ping pong tournaments have raised more than $60,000 for local charities and organizations.

“We expect we’ll see a lot of people,” Norman said. “We hope to have a good crowd.”

Norman said he plans to play a game or two himself.

First place winners receive gift certificates for the restaurant, which is off Ga. 400 at Exit 13.
