Holiday library hours

All four Forsyth County public libraries will close at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 and will be closed on New Year’s Day Sunday.

A pair of Forsyth County libraries will give kids and families a chance for some mid-day dancing and countdowns to the New Year.

Hampton Park Library, located at 5345 Settingdown Road, and the Post Road Library, located at 5010 Post Road, will each have an afternoon program to ring in the new year.

From 11 a.m.-12:30p.m., Hampton Park will host a New Year’s Eve party for all ages. Festivities will include stories, crafts and a countdown at noon for a “Happy Noon Year.”

Registration is not required for the event.

At Post Road, a dance party will be held from 1:15-2 p.m. with family dances and a countdown to a balloon-drop. All ages are welcome to the event.

No registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to attend early as space is limited.
