DAWSONVILLE — Authorities have identified the two people killed in Monday's head-on collision on Kelly Bridge Road near the Forsyth County line as adult siblings from Dawsonville.

Cheryl Renee Phillips, 56, and her brother Terry Lee Nichols, 53, died at the scene of the crash, according to Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman Robin Stone.

The driver of the second vehicle, 39-year-old Misty Kobor, also of Dawsonville, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with what were described as non-life-threating injuries.

Stone said no charges are expected to be filed as the investigation revealed Phillips crossed the double yellow line and struck Kobor's full-size sport utility vehicle.

"Alcohol is not expected to be a factor in the wreck," Stone said.

The crash occurred about 3 p.m. near Westray Road, east of the Silver City community. Emergency workers from Dawson and Forsyth counties responded.

Nichols, who was not wearing a seat belt, was found unconscious and unresponsive.

"He was deceased when we arrived," said Deputy Chief Tim Satterfield, who was among the first to arrive. "The other two we had to extricate, but the woman in the car with the man passed away at the scene."

Phillips and Kobor were both wearing seat belts, according to Stone.

Kelly Bridge Road was closed for several hours as crews investigated the crash and cleared the wreckage.

A donation page has been set up to assist the family in final expenses. Monetary donations can be made at gofundme.com/tuzvzwrw.

"We were not expecting something to happen like this so we need everyone's help to raise money so we can have them both buried," said Bri Sosebee, a cousin. "Could you imagine? Losing one child is hard, but two? Or having someone lose their father and their aunt, who is like their mother?

"That's the situation we are in now and we are asking for everyone's help."
