A northwestern Forsyth road will be closed to through traffic for more than a month beginning Wednesday.
The temporary closure of Watson Road will allow for the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert at Yellow Creek.
"Replacing the current undersized culvert will help eliminate flooding of the roadway in this area," said John Cunard, engineering director.
"Motorists’ patience during this temporary closure is appreciated."
Watson, which runs along Sawnee Mountain Park, is slated to reopen to through traffic Dec. 21.
During the closure, a detour route will be marked.
The $174,750 project is funded by the county’s current 1-cent sales tax program.
