Weather is going to delay the start of a bike rental program on the Big Creek Greenway.

Geaux Bikes announced Friday, June 7, on its Instagram account that its launch date of Saturday, June 8, has been pushed back until next Saturday, June 15 due to forecasts that call for heavy rain.

“Safety is our first priority and we want all of you to have an enjoyable ride,” the company said.

We have been watching the weather all week and unfortunately, we will have to delay our launch until next weekend with all the rain we are expected to get. Safety is our first priority and we want all of you to have an enjoyable ride. We will be at the Big Creek Greenway to meet and greet all of our inaugural riders next weekend and can't wait to see everyone. Thanks for your patience and stay tuned for deets on next weekend! ______ #madeintheusa #foco #forsythcounty #forsythcountyga #forsythcountygeorgia #focobikeshare #forsythbikeshare #bikeshareatl #atlantabikeshare #halcyon #bigcreekgreenway #fowlerpark #halcyonforsyth #focobikes #bikethegreenway #bigcreekgreenway #bikeforsyth #atlbikeshare #atlantabikeshare #bikeshareatlanta #shopsmallforsyth #shopsmallalpharetta #alpharettaga #alpharetta #shopsmallatl #shopsmall #discoverfoco

Started by Forsyth County resident Kristle Pressley and her husband, DeMario, the company has worked with Forsyth County officials to bring a fleet of bikes that residents can rent for $5 an hour through a smartphone app.

The first fleet will be located at the Greenway trailhead at Fowler Park. Another is expected to come to the upcoming Halcyon Forsyth development last this summer.
