Worker injured in fall off north Forsyth home

NORTH FORSYTH — A man suffered severe injuries Tuesday afternoon when he fell to the ground from the roof of a home on which he had been working, officials said.

According to Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers, the man fell about 12 feet from the home off Dawsonville Highway (Hwy. 53) and Pea Ridge Road near the Dawson County line line.

Shivers said he was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville an unstable condition with life-threatening injuries.

An update on his condition was not available Thursday.

According to Shivers, a group of men was working with the man at the time of the incident, which occurred about 1 p.m. and has been deemed an accident.
