Authorities are searching for the driver of a Ford Explorer who fled the scene of an accident Monday on Hwy 9.
Deputies responded at 10:09 p.m., Monday to a report of a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 9 just south of Redi Road, according to Stacie Miller, spokeswoman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a man was driving north on Hwy. 9 in a Ford Explorer when it crossed into the south-bound lane and struck a Cadillac.
The driver of the Ford Explorer fled on foot, Miller said, while the driver of the Cadillac, a woman, was extracted from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
