One Saturday, about 6 p.m., I was driving past South Forsyth High School and I saw scores of band members standing in neat rows in the very hot parking lot. The football teams get great press each week, but there are hundreds of dedicated boys and girls practicing in band every week.

They and their “band parents” make a big contribution to our enjoyment of the Friday night games. Thank you all.
