Pastor is hailed for recent stance

Forsyth County News
Kudos to Dr. Richard Lee, senior pastor of First Redeemer Church here in Forsyth County.

Dr. Lee joined some other pastors and Christian theologians on the Glenn Beck show July 1, defending the Judaeo-Christian heritage of our country.

Our founders put their lives, their fortunes, their sacred honor on the line to stand up against tyranny, and forge a new nation.

They were helped along, inspired by a “black regiment” of preachers of that time period who were not afraid to speak truth to power.

It certainly seems in times such as these that we need now, maybe more than ever, men of such character.

May the Lord guide us, especially our leaders, through these troubled times as we celebrate this Fourth of July.

As John Adams wrote — “It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward ...”
