Site considered for jail is being used

Forsyth County News

On Friday, April 22, you printed that the old jail site “has sat unused since 2008.” That is absolutely not true. It has been used for the highest of purposes. It has been used by SAFFT, Support Foster and Adoption Families Together. This allows children and families in a fragile time in their lives a bit of normalcy.

Leadership Forsyth worked very hard to make this a reality, and to renovate the building from its dilapidated state before the grand opening to make this a comfortable, inviting place for the children and families.

This is not the first time you ignored this building’s noble use, and printed false information. Please be more careful and print the truth in the future. I’m sure the citizens of Forsyth County would like to know the truth before they support our government one way or the other.
