Not all men make good fathers from the get go. Some have to learn. For some, it takes a long time. This is an ode to a man who, much to his credit, tried for 50 years. He felt a bit of shame in that but he shouldn’t have, because despite countless mistakes and misjudgments, he kept picking himself up from the rocky red dirt and trying again.
