Only the weather could stop the Horizon Christian Warriors on Saturday.

Jacob Grinstead threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and Horizon cruised to a 27-0 win against Lanier Christian in a game that was stopped at halftime due to weather.

Daniel Durnwald had three catches for 63 yards and two touchdowns, while John Michael Booth caught three passes for 102 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 60 yards on seven carries.

Alex Dahlberg had an interception to lead a Horizon defense that held Lanier Christian to just 36 yards of total offense in one half of play, while the Warriors pulled away in the second half.

The Warriors (1-0) led 7-0 after the first quarter on a 20-yard touchdown catch by Durnwald.

Then Horizon pulled away in the second quarter. Durnwald caught his second touchdown pass, for 21 yards, Booth caught a 71-yard touchdown pass and Leon He added a 1-yard touchdown run.
