This season: Cincinnati participated in the three-game Atlanta Challenge, which brought Johnson back to north Georgia for the weekend. The former Lambert standout finished 2 for 10, including a two-out, bases-loaded double against Kennesaw State that drove in three runs. Johnson also tripled against Georgia Tech. Cincinnati fell 9-8 to Georgia State, 6-4 to Georgia Tech and 11-7 to Kennesaw State.
Johnson, who transferred to Cincinnati from Auburn, was a three-sport athlete (baseball, basketball, football) at Lambert, where he helped the Longhorns to a state championship in baseball in 2014.
