McIlwain is coming off another strong season in which he averaged 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals a game to help the Longhorns win the Region 5-7A championship and advance to the Class 7A second round. The 6-foot-1 guard was named first-team all-county and all-region for the second straight season.
McIlwain would join a Spring Hill program in Mobile, Alabama, that competes in Division II’s Gulf South Conference. The Badgers went 12-16 overall and 9-10 in the GSC this past season.
