Lanier features running back Tario Fuller (6-0, 190), a Purdue verbal commit who ran for 1,590 yards and 20 touchdowns last season, and quarterback Canyon Cook (6-0, 170), who threw for 1,286 yards and 16 touchdowns and ran for another 462 yards. Defensive tackle Derrick Brown (6-4, 275) holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and a who’s-who of college powers. Brown is rated by 247 Sports as the No. 58 player in the country for the class of 2016. "They might be AAAAA, but they have Class AAAAAA athletes," Daniel said. "Lanier is like every other Gwinnett County team—big, fast, and strong."
