Lambert senior pitcher Dylan Biumi and sophomore outfielder/pitcher Seth Beer were named to the 2014 Louisville Slugger High School All-America team.
Both Biumi and Beer were first team selections and key cogs in helping the Longhorns go 36-2 en route to capturing the Class AAAAAA state championship, the first in program history.
Biumi was the Longhorns’ only returning full-time starting pitcher and ascended to the No. 1 role. The Western Carolina signee went 11-1 with a 1.15 ERA while striking out 52 in 60 2/3 innings.
Beer transferred from King’s Ridge and made an immediate impact with his bat and arm as Lambert’s regular rightfielder and a starting pitcher. He led the team in hitting (.589), doubles (21), home runs (10), RBIs (56), on-base percentage (.674) and slugging percentage (1.065) while also going 6-0 with a 0.53 ERA on the mound.
