Lambert quarterback Peyton Rich will be furthering his academic and athletic career at Garner-Webb University, as he signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday morning.
Rich was a three-year starter with the Longhorns, and during his senior season, he showed much improvement over his junior year, throwing for 1,629 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. He earned an All-County honorable mention after the season.
Gardner-Webb, which plays in the Big South Conference, finished 3-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play in 2019. Rich will be back in the Atlanta area when the Runnin' Bulldogs visit Georgia Tech on Sept. 12.
