Lambert sophomore soccer player Madison Haugen recently committed to play at the University of Georgia.
Haugen was an integral piece of Lambert’s historic 2016 season. As a freshman, she tied the school record for goals scored in a single season with 20 to go along with eight assists as the Longhorns went 20-3-0 and won the Class 7A state championship.
Haugen is the fourth member of the Longhorns’ championship team to commit to a Division I program, joining M.E. Craven (Auburn), Sydney Hennessey (Tennessee) and Ellie Prybylski (Kansas). Graduated seniors Maddie Eddleman and Jordyn Ebert are also playing in college, at Vermont and Mercer, respectively.
