When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at Raider Valley in Cumming.

Records, rankings: Dawson County is 2-0 and unranked in Class 3A; North is 1-0 and unranked in Class 6A.

Series history: North leads 6-1.

Last meeting: North won 35-28 in 2012.

What to know: Head coach Jason Galt has North headed in the right direction. The Raiders blanked Forsyth Central 31-0 last week behind a power running game that accumulated 271 yards. Quarterback Harris Roberts looked at ease running the offense, as he racked up 153 total yards and two touchdowns.

The North defense recorded its first shutout since 2010 and will look to do the same against Dawson County. The Tigers have had early success on offense, topping East Hall 29-27 and Lumpkin County 27-13. However, Dawson may not have many opportunities to score if North’s Double Wing-clock-chewing-offense is again working to perfection.
