Wrestling: North finishes second at Lambert tournament

North Forsyth wrestling impressed at the Hook’em Holiday Clash this past Friday and Saturday at Lambert, finishing second out of 34 teams led by four individual champions.

Cole Tenety (138 pounds), Conner Carroll (160), Brantley Little (182) and Connor Cross (195) each won their respective weight class, with Carroll maintaining his perfect record on the season (25-0) and defeating Lambert’s Cole Burke in the finals in a 5-0 decision.

Andrew Leggett (170) finished second, and Tate Bissell (132) and Riley Wheeler (145) each placed fourth as the Raiders finished with 212 points, just behind Brandon of Florida, which finished with 224.

West Forsyth placed sixth in the team standings led by fourth-place finishes from Ethan Rickert (126), Ibriam Eminov (152) and Dylan Fairchild (285).

Forsyth Central placed seventh led by Abraham Perez’s runner-up finish at 106, while Keaton Platzke (195) placed fourth and Steven Messer (113) and Avery Krippner (152) each placed sixth.

Lambert placed 14th as a team led by Burke’s runner-up finish at 160. Will Kohlins placed fourth at 182, while Michael Miller placed sixth at 138.
