The Forsyth County News will be hosting its fourth annual Forsyth Sports Media Day on Wednesday, July 24 at the Lanier Technical College Conference Center, and this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.

Just like in past years, fans will hear from coaches and players from seven county high schools – Forsyth Central, North Forsyth, West Forsyth, Lambert, South Forsyth, Denmark and Pinecrest Academy – in a press conference, streamed live on the Forsyth County News’ Facebook page.

But that’s not all: Those schools will be featured in a fan fest as well, where kids can meet players and coaches and get photos and autographs. Food trucks and fun games will also be on hand.

There is also a contest to see which youth football team can bring the most players to the event. The winner gets its team photo promoted on a local billboard.

Here's the schedule for the event: 

1:00 p.m.: Opening remarks from sports editor Ian Frazer and Forsyth County Schools Athletic Director Nathan Turner 

1:15 p.m.: South Forsyth

1:45 p.m.: Lambert

2:15 p.m.: North Forsyth

2:45 p.m.: Denmark

3:15 p.m.: Forsyth Central

3:45 p.m.: Pinecrest Academy

4:15 p.m.: West Forsyth
