What to know: Forsyth Central captured the county championship on Saturday behind a strong all-around performance by freshman Katie Andrews, helping the Bulldogs to their first title since 2016. Central won the event without one of its top returners in Avery Weis, who finished third all-around at last year's county meet. Additionally, Ashley Scanlon finished seventh in the state last season with her floor routine. The Bulldogs do not have any seniors this season, and head coach Chris Woodall said one of the team's goals is to focus on "the small things that can be done to improve as athletes and individuals."
Denmark
Head coach: Kaylee Satterfield
Key returners: Ava Balzano, So.
Key newcomers: Gracie Carroll, Jr.
What to know: Denmark graduated last year's Forsyth County News Gymnast of the Year Emma Davies, but the Danes return several athletes capable of putting up high scores. Sophomore Ava Balzano scored a nine or higher in three events Saturday at the county meet, while head coach Kaylee Satterfield expects junior Gracie Carroll to be a power on floor.
East Forsyth
Head coach: Lynne Tatum

Key newcomers: Olivia Preston, So.; Katelynne Tatum, Fr.; Lily Standridge, Fr.
What to know: East Forsyth is in its first year as a program, but freshman Katelynne Tatum's all-around victory at Saturday's county meet suggests the Broncos are ready to compete right away. Tatum is a Level 10 gymnast, while fellow freshman Lily Standridge has achieved Xcel Diamond standing and Olivia Preston, who earned All-County last season at North Forsyth, was redistricted to East.
Lambert
Head coach: Deborah LaCrosse
Key returners: Katelyn Dunn, Megan Herzog, Bhoomi Kotharkar, Lauren Mahoney, Cardiff Price.
Key newcomers: Annabelle Speer, Taylor Bonifay, Ella Taylor.
What to know: Lambert just about doubled in size from last year's team, and while the Longhorns graduated Level 10 gymnast Shreya Munshi, they return several athletes with experience. That includes Lauren Mahoney, who's reached Level 9 standing, as well as Ella Taylor, whose all-around score of 31.750 led the Longhorns during Saturday's county meet.
North Forsyth
Head coach: Candace Bourque
Key returners: Brenna Kudlas, So.; Gaby Souffrant, So.; Charley Walker, So.
Key newcomers: Kenzi Wright, Sr.; Kayla Patton, Fr.
What to know: North Forsyth looks to build off its inaugural season last year and returns a trio of talented sophomore gymnasts in Brenna Kudlas, Gaby Souffrant and Charley Walker. Kenzi Wright transferred to North from Alliance Academy, while Kayla Patton will also contribute as a freshman. Kudlas impressed at Saturday's county meet, throwing up a 9.4 in floor and 8.9 on beam.
South Forsyth
Head coach: Chris Naffky
Key returners: Lauren Santiago, soph.
Key newcomers: Josie DaSilva, Fr.; Ziyan Williams, Fr.; Maddie Malave, Fr.
What to know: South Forsyth finished eighth at last year's Class 6A-7A preliminary meet and returns Level 9 gymnast Lauren Santiago, plus several impressive freshmen in Josie DaSilva [Level 9], Ziyan Williams [Level 9] and Maddie Malave [Level 8]. Santiago [34.850] and DaSilva [34.800] gave the War Eagles a boost in four events at Saturday's county meet, while Williams scored higher than a nine in two events, vault [9.400] and floor [9.100].
West Forsyth
Head coach: Kara DiCesare
Key returners: Mani Fofana, Makaya Fofana, Anna Vagner, Paige Farmer, Caroline McCallar.
Key newcomers: Emerson Pearch, Tatum Petty, Alexis Stonebraker.
What to know: Three-time state champ West Forsyth finished seventh at last year's Class 6A-7A preliminary meet, led by Mani Fofana's sixth-place showing on beam. Fofana tied for third in all-around scoring at Saturday's county meet with a 36.300. Makaya Fofana, Anna Vagner, Paige Farmer and Caroline McCallar also return from last season's team, while West coach Kara DiCesare lists Emerson Pearch, Tatum Petty and Alexis Stonebraker as newcomers who will have an impact this year.
