The inaugural All-County girls flag football team was announced today, with West Forsyth quarterback Haylee Dornan earning Player of the Year honors. Ashley Chu from South Forsyth was named Offensive Player of the Year, while Lili Martin from Forsyth Central got the Defensive Player of the Year nod.
West Forsyth, the county champion, placed six players on the team, while Lambert had five, Forsyth Central had three, South Forsyth had two, and Denmark and North Forsyth each had one.
West Forsyth will host Sequoyah, the Cherokee County champion, at 6 p.m. on Monday in the playoffs.
Additionally, a Forsyth County All-Star team was selected and will compete against other county all-star teams on Dec. 18 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a single-elimination tournament.
