Friday Night Stars: Forsyth Central's Legarra leads Bulldogs' strong defensive effort

Here is a list of some of the best performances by Forsyth County high school football players this past Friday:

Jacob Bailey, North Forsyth: The senior quarterback was 8 or 9 passing for 134 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries in the Raiders’ loss to Cherokee.

Michael Birozes, Pinecrest Academy: The sophomore was productive in sort of ways for the Paladins on Friday. At running back, he rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and caught one pass for 34 yards. As kicker, Birozes was 5 of 5 on extra points and handled kickoff duties.

Joey Congrove, West Forsyth: The junior defensive back had nine tackles (six solo) and one pass break-up in the Wolverines’ loss to Mill Creek.

Jeffrey Cooley, West Forsyth: The senior had seven tackles (three solo) and four tackles for loss in the Wolverines’ loss at Mill Creek.

Cameron Daube, Forsyth Central: The defensive tackle had four tackles (three solo) and one tackle for loss in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Shaun Diebel, Forsyth Central: The senior running back rushed for 70 yards and completed one pass for 11 yards in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Cedric Dorsey, Forsyth Central: The senior defensive tackle had four tackles (three solo) and one tackle for loss in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Daniel Durnwald, Horizon Christian Academy: The junior had eight tackles (two solo) and three interceptions in the Warriors’ victory against Augusta.

Cody Dwyer, North Forsyth: The running rushed for 61 yards on 15 carries, caught three passes for 32 yards and complete 2 of 3 passes for 49 yards in the Raiders’ loss to Cherokee.

Jacob Grinstead, Horizon Christian Academy: The junior quarterback completed 10 of 14 passes for 301 yards with touchdown throws of 2, 35, 24, 33 and 75 yards in the Warriors’ victory against Augusta. Grinstead also added a 23-yard touchdown run.

Jagger Hartshorn, Forsyth Central: The junior quarterback rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns and was 4 of 10 passing for 41 yards in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Simon Holcomb, North Forsyth: The junior running back rushed for 65 yards on 11 carries and had five catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders’ loss to Cherokee.

Sabrian Howard, Forsyth Central: The junior running back rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs victory against Dawson County.

Sebastian Legarra, Forsyth Central: The junior linebacker had 10 tackles (five solo), one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and returned an interception for a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Ty Logan, Horizon Christian Academy: The senior caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown and intercepted two passes on defense in the Warriors’ victory against Augusta.

Robbie Repasz, Forsyth Central: The senior defensive back had eight tackles (five solo) in the Bulldogs’ victory against Dawson County.

Dillon Taylor, Horizon Christian Academy: The senior caught three passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 21 yards on three carries in the Warriors’ victory against Augusta.
