PREP ROUNDUP: Central girls excel on first two days of Mount Paran tourney

The Forsyth Central girls basketball team beat Berkmar 54-6 on Friday in the Mount Paran Christian Tournament in Kennesaw. The Bulldogs (10-4) got a double-double from Aisha Dabo, who scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds, and a 13-point performance from Gina Fishler. On Thursday, Central beat Lassiter 67-39 in the same tournament, with Dabo scoring 21, Elizabeth Pruitt scoring 17 and Ansley Carver contributing 12 points on four three-pointers.

The Denmark boys moved to 10-3 on the year with a 76-60 win over Riverside Military Academy on Friday. Sutton Smith led the Danes with 22 points, and Adonnis Easton-Tolbert had a double-double, with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The North Forsyth boys (4-6) beat Buckhorn (Kentucky) 63-43 on Thursday in the Gatlinburg-Pittman Smoky Mountain Classic before losing 50-26 to Tates Creek (Kentucky) on Friday.

The South Forsyth girls (6-7), playing in the War Lodge Showcase at Sequoyah, beat Kennesaw Mountain 56-48 on Thursday before losing 57-41 to Alpharetta on Friday. The Denmark girls (1-11) lost 43-38 to Chattahoochee on Friday at the Lambert Holiday Classic.
