Creekview 6, Forsyth Central 2

The Bulldogs lost their fourth straight game in a Region 7-AAAAA contest Monday on the road.

Central fell to 10-13 overall and 8-9 in the region.

Spencer Patterson led the Bulldogs at the plate with an RBI double. Jacob Keesee also had a double.

Lambert 5, Centennial 1

JD Dutka hit solo home run to break a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning and the Longhorns stayed undefeated with a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday on the road.

No. 1-ranked Lambert improved to 24-0 overall and 12-0 in the region.

Thomas Kubiak got the win for the Longhorns in relief of starter Seth Beer who allowed one run on seven hits in five innings.

After Beer allowed a runner to reach base to start the sixth inning, Kubiak came in and induced a crucial double play before getting the final out to preserve the tie.

Dutka then hit a blast to give Lambert the lead. Kyle McCann added to the lead with a two-run double, and Ian Kimbrell scored the Longhorns’ final run on a squeeze bunt by Nick Guimbarda.

Johns Creek 8, North Forsyth 3

The Gladiators scored five runs in the third inning and the Raiders never recovered in a Region 6-AAAAAA loss Monday at home.

North fell to 11-13 overall and 5-7 in the region.

Charlie Hecht pitched a complete game for Johns Creek (14-9, 10-2) allowing just six hits while striking out six.

North’s Max Bening had two of those hits. Brant Stark added an RBI.

South Forsyth 17, Alpharetta 6

The War Eagles continued their late-season surge with a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday at home.

South improved to 10-14 overall and 5-7 in the region.

The War Eagles pounded out 17 hits, led by Jordan McGriff who went 3-for-3 and Horbin Figueroa who was 3-for-5.

Alex Kliphouse, Jack Litras, Nate Schmal and Michael Strait each had two hits. Schmal had a solo home run.

Will Foy got the win and scattered eight hits and struck out five in a complete game.

Chattahoochee 11, West Forsyth 1

Cougars starting pitcher Tony Debrill was virtually unhittable and the Wolverines lost a Region 6-AAAAAA game Monday at home.

West fell to 12-9 overall and 4-7 in the region.

Debrill held the Wolverines to just two hits.


North Forsyth 14, Forsyth Central 11

The Lady Raiders celebrated Senior Night in style with a non-area win Monday at home.

North improved to 6-10. Central fell to 2-12.

Corrine Thompson and Jessica Wil led the Lady Raiders with four goals each. Savannah Robar had two goals, while Stephanie Grive, Rachel Hejduk, Annaluse Vigilante and Jenna Zirlott each had a goal.

Darrian Short had 11 saves for North.

Rachel Fratt led the Lady Bulldogs with five goals, including the 100th of her career, and an assist. Madison Giddens had five goals, Maria Hansen had four goals and Morgan Woodruff added a goal.
