North Forsyth 54, Habersham 42

MT. AIRY – Amber Jones led three players in double figures with 18 points as the Lady Raiders earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Cassie Markle added 12 points and seven rebounds for North (13-7, 9-5), while Morgan Grindle scored 11 points.

St. Francis 77, Pinecrest Academy 47

Margaret Metz scored 26 points but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Paladins dropped a Region 6-A, Div. B game Tuesday at home.

Regina Metz added 14 points for Pinecrest (11-6, 4-3).

South Forsyth 68, Northview 43

Sarah Myers had a team-high 26 points and the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Mari Jonassen added 23 points for No. 5-ranked South (17-4, 14-0).

West Forsyth 55, Johns Creek 31

JOHNS CREEK – Jenna Staiti had 21 points and the Lady Wolverines cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Jane Ortlip also scored in double figures for No. 10 West (17-4, 14-1) with 14, while Kalie Schlegel and Brooke Pirkle each scored eight points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

North Forsyth 43, Habersham 38

MT. AIRY – Chad Bureau had 15 points and the Raiders earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Tyler Koch added 14 points for North (7-12, 6-8).

South Forsyth 72, Northview 55

Evan Cole had a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds as the War Eagles earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Tyler Elliot added 15 points for South (10-11, 6-8), which won its third straight, while Santhosh Saravanan scored nine points.

Johns Creek 62, West Forsyth 47

Jay Magee had 13 points but it wasn’t enough as the Wolverines dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Joe Freitas added nine points for West (5-17, 3-12), while Isaac May had seven.

Other scores: St. Francis 87, Pinecrest Academy 55.
